Europe 2012: Trier, Germany

Trier was a wonderful place to visit. There is so much Roman history, including the oldest, still used, bridge in Germany. I thought it was fun just to walk across it! Here are a few pictures from that trip. :)
Porta Nigra, one of four gates used in Roman times. This one is the only one still standing. 

We also visited the Cathedral of St. Peter and the Church of Our Lady.

Römerbrücke, or the oldest bridge in Germany. The pillars are as old as the 2nd century!
